- Government tendering pressure: State and Federal Governments who will only rent space in buildings with a NABERS rating of 4 1/2 stars and above, and will only deal with suppliers who have a Climate Change policy in place.
- Private supply chain standards: Australian businesses who require suppliers to outline their carbon footprint and environmental management plans in any tender response.
- International trade pressure: Companies exporting to the UK, Japan or the European Union also need to be aware of environmental labelling requirements to ensure their products get in.
