Climate Challenge

Climate and Carbon Challenges:

Climate change has been identified as one of the greatest challenges that we are currently facing.

Climate change is caused by an imbalance in the Earth’s natural warming process and it has now been widely accepted that human actions are contributing to this. This imbalance results in increased average temperatures (although the temperature for any particular season or year may actually be cooler).

As noted by the Australian Museum, climate change in Australia will mean more days over 35°C, and more heat waves and fires. There will be also more droughts and the droughts will be more severe. Rain is likely to be more intense when it comes, leading to increased floods.

It is a problem that affects all of us and is the responsibility of all of us to address. Reviewing your carbon footprint, lowering your energy use and becoming carbon neutral are all steps to help combat this change.
